Description
This took awhile.
Not because the drawing was difficult--it wasn't. It was because I was determined to texture the whole thing with a rather fine-tipped Sharpie pen. Top to bottom, edge to edge. I have a habit of drawing a figure and presenting them here as in a void--which turns out ok but isn't very rich for the eyes.
Also: my effort to make a "complete" image led me to combine a lot of quirks and habits. Cartoonish things, freakish heads, flat backgrounds and a penchant for lopsided machinery with non-descript functions.
A hundred panels like this one and I'd be institutionalized.
For those who care about "high" art, the heads were drawn as they were with a little bit of inspiration from iconic representation of the deadly sins, as depicted in centuries-old chapels in Europe. Jealousy, as one such sin, was depicted with an ugly personage and a snake eating his / her eyes out. (Hooray for history!)
I wonder if any of that stuff made it into the Dante's Inferno video game. Anyone tried it?
